A Chartered Accountant and Delhi University graduate, she also holds a Diploma in BRSR (ICAI) and is a certified GHG Accounting Lead Verifier – ISO 14064, positioning her as a specialist in the evolving sustainability ecosystem.
At Pierag Consulting, Surbhi serves as an Associate Director in the ESG & Sustainability Practice, where she leads a wide portfolio of engagements across ESG reporting, certifications, sustainability due diligence, and strategic advisory. She plays a pivotal role in guiding clients through global ESG frameworks, regulatory expectations, and emerging sustainability mandates. Her work also includes designing and delivering capacity-building programs—helping organizations enhance their internal sustainability readiness and governance.
Before transitioning into ESG specialization, Surbhi gained rich experience in audit & assurance, technical research, advisory, and learning & development, giving her a holistic understanding of financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and standards interpretation. This foundation enables her to connect ESG performance with financial, operational, and strategic implications—an increasingly critical capability in today’s interconnected risk environment.
Surbhi has also contributed significantly to ICAI-led initiatives in accounting, auditing, and sustainability, elevating her industry insights and strengthening her credentials as a trusted voice in the ESG space.
